\u201cI was appointed by the DC Courts as the Personal Representative of an estate, something that I\u2019m very experienced in handling. The difference in this situation was that the deceased person had a reverse mortgage that was attached to their house. None of the family members were interested in the property or paying off the mortgage. Also, what was owed was close to what the house was worth, but the house needed some repairs. In this case, I was getting involved in the short sale process for the first time and dealing with liens against the property. The challenge was finding the appropriate party to address the lien issue. An additional challenge was dealing with the mortgage company personally.
