“Your professionalism that you had made me say ‘Well this lady seems like she’s really serious about making moves with the house.’ I had like 5, 6 other offers and I told them ‘No, I’m washing my hands, I’m not doing anything with the house. You’ll have to get with the reverse mortgage people,’ and I just left it alone. It’s been like six or seven years and nothing has happened at all. I’ve been to court appointments, talking to the reverse mortgage people, talking to lawyers, and I’ve just been wasting time… So then you got involved and said it’d take a much shorter time to get resolved and that would take a burden off me that I’ve been dealing with for the last six, seven years.”

“Thanks, so much for your efforts and sincere enthusiasm in making sure my condo was sold. You continued to put forth your best efforts when I was down and out and could not think through the process for myself. I appreciate the assistance from such a great sales team. Thanks so much.”

“This was the little gift from God that dropped out of the sky for me… [It] met the needs that I wanted as far as redevelopment and returning a good, valuable asset to the community. The experience was actually great—very streamlined, I felt up-to-date. I understood the process and how things were going…I also like that the process of introducing the property all the way through to closing was seamless. [Next Chapter] is a great company…Not everyone is focused on, has another of mission beyond just brokering properties. Some people have an interest in providing something not just for themselves, but to the community as well. Not only my company, but Next Chapter does as well.”

“I was appointed by the DC Courts as the Personal Representative of an estate, something that I’m very experienced in handling. The difference in this situation was that the deceased person had a reverse mortgage that was attached to their house. None of the family members were interested in the property or paying off the mortgage. Also, what was owed was close to what the house was worth, but the house needed some repairs. In this case, I was getting involved in the short sale process for the first time and dealing with liens against the property. The challenge was finding the appropriate party to address the lien issue. An additional challenge was dealing with the mortgage company personally. Next Chapter Property Solutions contacted me and expressed interest in the property. I opted to work with the company because as the person responsible for the estate, I wanted to make sure that I took care of what needed to be done–my fiduciary responsibility.
Hayya [at Next Chapter] professionalism played a significant role in my continuing on through the process, especially as she made herself a resource throughout it all. Next Chapter provided excellent insight into the short sale process and I valued their assistance in contacting the proper parties necessary to effectuate the short sale. When I think about the entire experience, the three things that were most valuable to me were that 1) Next Chapter actually was able to complete the sale as they had agreed to; 2) they arranged settlement in a location that was convenient to me; and 3) they made the short sale process understandable. I would recommend working with Next Chapter Property Solutions because they are professionals. They will actually see the transaction through from start to finish, making sure to assist you every step of the way. I really valued their professionalism and insight.”
